The company combines engineering, equipment, chemistry, services, and additives to solve industrial water, energy, process, and compliance problems. U.S. Water Services provides products and services that reduce resource requirements in industries including biofuels, food and beverage, power generation, hospitals and universities. The water services company also provides technologies that make energy production more efficient in the geothermal and oil and gas industries.

Steps to build the business: Ltrytten said the company is investing in additional staff to expand into areas where they see growth opportunities. U.S. Water is also developing new services that reduce their customers’ water and energy use and increase efficiency. .

Greatest challenge: Making smart investment decisions to capitalize on opportunities, Ltrytten said.

What is your favorite part of the job: The excitement of finding opportunities for growth, Ltrytten said. She has worked for U.S. Water Services for nine years and although the market may change that excitement of growth has always been there.

What’s ahead: Additional expansion of the company’s oil and gas group, which uses many products made in Vancouver.
