New board members picked for foundation

Steve Hill is the new board president of the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools. Hill is a partner in the Vancouver law firm Miller Nash, where he specializes in environmental issues.

The foundation is a private nonprofit that pays for enrichment and mentoring programs in Vancouver schools. It also administers scholarships. Programs paid for by the foundation include Lunch Buddies, emergency checkbooks, medical and dental care, and other services to support students.

Also newly appointed to the board is Michelle Giovannozzi, corporate relations manager for Clark College.
