Letter: Many expect something for nothing

The Columbian
Published: June 8, 2012, 5:00pm

Bill Victor’s June 4 column, “Hey kids, life doesn’t always hand out trophies,” about kids receiving trophies for the simple act of participating in an activity or sport regardless of winning or not, was spot on. You see this same thinking with the Wall Street protesters who think they deserve something for doing nothing. Listening to them being interviewed, I find most are untrained, lazy, ill-behaved and not really having a clue as to why they are protesting. They just think they deserve something for showing up.
