WASHINGTON (AP) — The Wizards have selected Tomas Satoransky from the Czech Republic with the No. 32 pick in Thursday’s NBA draft.
The 6-foot-7 combo guard spent the past three seasons playing for Cajasol Sevilla in the Spanish ACB. During the 2011-12 campaign, Satoransky averaged 4.8 points and 1.4 assists in 34 games.
The Wizards drafted fellow Czech Jan Vesely with the No. 6 overall pick in 2011.
In the first round this season, the Wizards drafted Bradley Beal of Florida with the No. 3 pick.
The Wizards finished this past season with a 20-46 record, though a trade deadline deal for Nene sparked improvement. Washington closed the season on a six-game winning streak, providing encouragement for a franchise that missed the playoffs for a fourth straight campaign.
