BOSTON (AP) — Mitt Romney says Super Tuesday is taking him one step closer to winning the White House.

Romney was ready to tell supporters in Boston that “tonight, we’ve taken one more step toward restoring the promise of America.” In remarks provided by his campaign, Romney plans to also say that “tomorrow, we wake up and we start again. And the next day we do the same.”

Romney says he will take his campaign “day by day, step by step, door to door, heart to heart.”

Romney won contests in Massachusetts, Virginia and Vermont based on early results. But he was fighting hard in Ohio, seen as the biggest prize among the 10 states that had nominating contests today.
