GOLD BEACH, Ore. (AP) — The Coast Guard has suspended a search for two fishermen whose boat capsized near Gold Beach last week.

The Coos County sheriff’s office tells The World (http://bit.ly/wvS4EU ) that rescuers searched approximately 122 miles before suspending the search at 1:39 a.m. on Saturday. The 21-foot fishing vessel capsized near the north jetty at Gold Beach shortly after 5 p.m. Friday.

The fishermen have not been identified.

Meanwhile, the Coast Guard says a boat that went aground near Newport is believed to have sunk after four people were rescued.

Petty Officer Nate Littlejohn says the Coast Guard checked on the vessel at first light Monday and it was no-longer on the south jetty at Yaquina Bay, where it went aground Saturday.
