SAINT HELENS, Ore. (AP) — Two people have been killed in a small plane crash on the Oregon side of the Columbia River south of Longview, Wash.
Columbia County Sheriff Jeff Dickerson says it appears to be a high-velocity crash that killed both on impact.
KLOG reports they are believed to be a 44-year-old Camas flight instructor and a 17-year-old student pilot who took off Wednesday evening in a Cessna 150 from Pearson Field Airport in Vancouver.
The Camas man’s wife had reported him overdue. Authorities also received a signal from an emergency location transponder.
