SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The mother of a 17-year-old Salem girl faces child abuse charges after police say video surveillance shows her inside a strip club, watching her daughter dance and providing her money.
Christina Marie Lopez, the 42-year-old mother of the girl, complained to police in mid-December of her daughter’s dancing at Presley’s Playhouse Cabaret in Salem.
The Salem Police Department says the girl’s mother also complained to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission and local media outlets.
Lopez was arrested Friday morning and has been charged with using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct.
