State of the City speech set for Friday

Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt will deliver the 2012 State of the City address at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the historic Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St.

The speech is titled “Pride, Progress and Possibilities.”

The event ends at noon.

Seating is limited and registration is required via CityHallRSVP@cityofvancouver.us.

Those unable to get in can watch the speech at North Bank Artists Community Gallery, 1005 Main St.

The event is free but there is a suggested $5 donation at the door to benefit the Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program.

The State of the City will also be roadcast on CVTV (Comcast cable channels 21 and 23 in Vancouver).
