DALLAS (AP) — Mavericks forward Shawn Marion missed Saturday night’s game against San Antonio with a sore left knee.
About midway through the first quarter, Marion and starting center Brandon Haywood both went to the Dallas bench wearing suits.
It was the first game Marion missed this season.
Haywood is out for at least five games with a sprained right knee he sustained Thursday night against Charlotte. He got hurt again after being back less than two full games following a sprained left ankle that forced him out of four games.
Guard Rodrigue Beaubois was put in the starting lineup as the shooting guard, and Vince Carter shifted over to small forward to replace Marion.
