PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A shooting at a Rhode Island antiques store in a building owned by the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum has left one woman dead and another injured.

Police Lt. William Fitzgerald says a woman was pronounced dead Tuesday at Franklin & Co. Interiors in Newport, a New England summer resort noted for its mansions.

The company’s website says it’s an antiques and decorations store. No one is answering the store’s phone.

The Tennis Hall of Fame says it owns the building, 30 miles from Providence.

The injured woman has been hospitalized. Police won’t say whether she’s a victim or a shooting suspect.

But Fitzgerald says the shooting wasn’t random and it appears the two women knew each other. He says no one is in custody but there are no “active shooters” at large.
