Letter: Slow down to conserve gas

The Columbian
Published: March 22, 2012, 5:00pm

Drive on any freeway and you will see cars, trucks, both large and small, doing 10 miles or more over the posted speed limit, so why should gas prices be lowered? Everyone complains about the price of gas but few slow down. You see the same thing on the city streets. Many people want to go faster, then they want to blame President Obama for high gas prices. When George W. Bush was president, they tried to blame him. He said he doesn’t run the oil companies, but, oh, how people forget that he was a Republican. So who should we blame? Nobody but ourselves.
