APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) — A woman who died in a fall while hiking in Arizona has been identified as a Washington state resident.
Pinal County authorities said Friday that the victim was 65-year-old Mona Mae Baker of Hansville, Wash.
They say Baker fell an estimated 50 feet from a trail near Lost Dutchman State Park east of Phoenix on Wednesday morning.
Baker was hiking with her husband when she fell off the edge of a cliff face along Massacre Grounds Trail. Her husband called authorities for help.
