A Vancouver man died early Monday after being shot in St. Helens, Ore., on Sunday morning, police said.

Dana Jovan Farnsworth, 32, died at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, a St. Helens police bulletin said. A second shooting victim, Crystal Gayle Hamilton, 33, of St. Helens was treated and released from the hospital.

Police say the incident started around 1 a.m. on the 400 block of North Second Street in St. Helens. Witnesses alleged that Michael Bernard Lystell shot two people, then fled the scene in a stolen car.

Lystell led police on a short high-speed chase before crashing the car in an intersection, police said.
