LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp has left Wednesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers after apparently re-injuring the left hamstring that kept him out of the lineup for two weeks.
Playing his second game since coming off the disabled list, Kemp walked in the first inning and came all the way around on a two-out double to left-center by Andre Ethier. Kemp was replaced in the field by Tony Gwynn Jr. in the second.
Monday night, Kemp was 1 for 4 with a ninth-inning double. He is batting .355 with 12 homers and 28 RBIs in 36 games. Last season, he hit .324 with 39 homers and 126 RBIs — both career bests — and finished runner-up to Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun in the NL MVP voting.
