Letter: Let popular vote rule

The Columbian
Published: November 2, 2012, 5:00pm

Now that the debates are behind us and the voting in front of us, I would like to know when we are going to come into the 21st century and get rid of the Electoral College. It has long since served its purpose and should be outlawed so that everyone’s vote counts. The election has become a free-for-all and has lost its dignity and respect regarding the candidates and the candidates’ disrespect for each other. Until this changes it’s just going to be the same thing every four years.

Nothing will change until we change and from what I have seen that won’t be anytime soon.
