If elections ran year-round, just think of the money pouring into the economy. I just heard that nearly $6 billion was poured into elections this year. Who gains? Paper makers, sign painters, distribution centers and everyone in between. Along with the refineries that refine jet fuel, along with the diesel for the campaign buses. Who is the biggest contributor? It sure isn’t the man on the street, and we hate the idea of the influence this gave the men with money.
Elections provide a super boost to the economy even though to most it feels like an inconvenience.
There will still be some work connected with the election and I hope it is mostly with paying someone to take down all the signs that take away from the “green” scenery we all enjoy.
