Owners of cowboy boots and fans of chili might enjoy the Countryside Ridge Barn Dance. The night starts with beginner swing dance lessons, followed by the sounds of the honky tonk band Countryside Ride and the Barn Door Slammers, a Western swing band. The Pioneer Street Cafe will provide Cowboy Chili and cornbread to hungry dancers.

Big holiday show

The third annual Clark County Holiday Gift Fair will feature dozens of local artisans, craftspeople and retailers and a gift-givers marketplace. The Reindeer Stage will feature daily entertainment and a holiday decor showcase. Visitors can take photos with Santa, and nonprofit organizations will be on hand to conduct a food drive, toy drive, book collection for the troops and holiday pet adoption program.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Stories for all

Storyteller Curtis DuPuis will share and perform different Native American legends, hosted by Northwest Heritage Resources and the Clark County Historical Museum. DuPuis is an oral historian and storyteller of the Hazel Pete family, renowned for their baskets, and a lifetime resident of the Chehalis reservation.

Funny on the lam

Journey Theater Arts Group, formerly Christian Youth Theater, presents “Bugsy Malone,” a slapstick musical comedy that follows the rivalry between two half-witted street gangs. The production spoofs the film noir genre, filled with 1920s caricatures who use whip-cream guns, flour bombs and custard pies. For ages 6 and older.

When: 3 and 7 p.m. today; 2 p.m. Sunday.

‘Lincoln’: Mythical figure

Daniel Day-Lewis stars as Steven Spielberg’s Abraham Lincoln. Set in the last months of the Civil War, America’s 16th president is struggling to accomplish his goals of ending the war and passing an amendment abolishing slavery. The legal, political and moral questions of which goal should take precedence leads Lincoln to clash with his Cabinet. “Lincoln” is rated PG-13.
