Washington beats Seton Hall in Tip-Off tournament

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — Abdul Gaddy scored 16 points to lead four Washington players in double figures, and the Huskies beat Seton Hall 84-73 in overtime Saturday in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament in Connecticut.

The Huskies (2-1), coming off a one-point upset to Albany on Tuesday, led by as many as 17 in the first half against the Pirates.

But Seton Hall (2-1) responded in the second, scoring 23 of the first 30 points after intermission and going up by as many as six.

The game was tied at 71 heading into overtime, where a pair of 3-pointers from Scott Suggs helped the Huskies outscore the Pirates 13-2.

Fuquon Edwin had 20 of his 27 points after halftime to lead Seton Hall.

Washington will face No. 4 Ohio State on Sunday. The Buckeyes beat Rhode Island 69-58 earlier Saturday.
