Smith leads Stephen F. Austin past Tulsa 57-41

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Taylor Smith scored 17 points and Jacob Parker added 16 on Saturday to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 57-41 victory over Tulsa.

Stephen F. Austin (4-0) also got eight rebounds from Smith and 10 assists from Hal Bateman.

Stephen F. Austin had a 14-5 scoring advantage off turnovers and a 36-14 edge in points in the paint.

Tulsa (4-2) had a cold shooting touch, making just 13 of 42 field-goal attempts, and was just 12 of 22 from the free-throw line.

James Woodard scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Tulsa, and Kauri Black scored nine points.
