2A GSHL football: Hockinson 36, Aberdeen 7

Austin Johnson rushed for 102 yards, caught passes for 88 yards, and scored three touchdowns as the Hawks won the Class 2A GSHL contest on the road.

“We played a really good football game, probably our best game of the year,” coach Rick Steele said. “The defense as a whole played fantastic.”

Johnson scored twice in the first quarter, on runs of 10 and 5 yards. When Nick Guinett added a 15-yard TD run in the second quarter, Hockinson had a 19-0 lead.

Jess Krahn completed 8 of 15 passes for 228 yards for the Hawks (5-2, 2-2), including a 55-yard TD pass to Guinett.

A safety by Jesse Tonkinson on a quarterback sack made it 36-0 in the third quarter.
