OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Tale of Peace held off Falbala by a neck Sunday in the $32,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park.

Ridden by Chris DeCarlo and trained by Amy Tarrant, the 3-year-old filly ran a mile and 70 yards on the fast track in 1:42 and paid $7.20, $3.40 and $2.80. It was the second win in six career starts for Tale of Peace, who held the early lead, lost it on the backstretch and regained command as the field of seven turned for home.

Falbala returned $4 and $3.60, and Carolina Princess paid $6.80 to show.
