A man helped police recover his stolen truck Monday morning, resulting in the arrest of two people.

The man first reported his truck stolen around 7 a.m. on the 12400 block of Northeast 42nd Street near Image Elementary School. He had been warming his Chevrolet Silverado in the driveway when it was stolen, said Kim Kapp, spokeswoman for the Vancouver Police Department.

The man then went looking for his car and found it near the intersection of East Fourth Plain Boulevard and Falk Road around 7:30 a.m., according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

He called police, who spotted the car near the intersection of Fourth Plain and Stapleton Road (down the street from VPD’s West Precinct).

Police stopped the car on the 2900 block of Northeast 57th Avenue and arrested Brandon L. Snapp and Amanda E. Snapp on suspicion of auto theft. Brandon also had several outstanding warrants, Kapp said.

The two were booked into the Clark County Jail with no bail allowed for either.
