Sex offender update

The Columbian

A registered sex offender who poses a risk to reoffend has recently moved into the area, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jeremiah Christian Thompson, 20, now lives in the 1000 block of West 13th Street in Vancouver.

He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with brown eyes and black hair, weighing 155 pounds. He is not wanted at this time.

At the age of 15, Thompson sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl known to him. When he was 16, Thompson attempted to sexually assault a 60-year-old female known to him. He was convicted of communication with a minor for immoral purpose and to fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation. In 2012, at age 19, Thompson sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.

He is monitored by the Department of Corrections, Vancouver Police Sex Offender Tracking Unit and the Clark County Sex Offender Registration Unit.
