Those mulling a run for public office, or planning to promote a ballot measure, are invited to a workshop May 9 on how to conduct a successful political campaign.

The free event, sponsored by the Clark County Auditor’s Office, takes place 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St. in Vancouver.

Several experts will speak at the workshop, describing “what it takes to carry out an effective campaign for a candidate or issue in Clark County,” according to an announcement from the auditor’s office. Experts also will take questions, and an informal reception will follow the event.

Anyone interested in the topic is invited to attend. For more information, call the auditor’s office at 360-397-2078.
