PORTLAND — Orders are pouring in for the 11-year-old Lake Oswego girl who was told she could beg but couldn’t sell mistletoe at the Portland Saturday Market without a permit.
Madison Root was selling the holiday greenery to raise money to help pay for her braces.
KATU reports she had the braces put on her teeth Monday.
Root cut and bagged the mistletoe last week at her uncle’s Newberg farm. She was selling bags at $4 each Saturday when a private security guard told the sales violated the city code, although she was free to beg.
