U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Camas, is again using taxpayers’ expense in a campaign mailing to persuade the public that she is really working to solve America’s challenges. On the other side of the coin, she criticizes, uses negative rhetoric, and stalls the progress of the American way to advance toward productive goals such as the Columbia River Crossing. What does she do? Herrera Beutler provides posed pictures with claims of what she addresses; in reality she jumps on the bandwagon with other legislators with grandiose stories for purposes of campaigning using taxpayers’ funds.
We need to elect skilled legislative decision-makers who act and get the train moving down the tracks with successful actual accomplishments and positive steps. Southwest Washington needs a new legislator focusing upon an actual legislative career practicing good decision-making skills and leadership toward investments in education and job training without using taxpayers’ funds for re-election displays. Let us elect a different legislator in the 3rd District seat from Southwest Washington who leads instead of grandstands.
