Daisy Clawson celebrated her 100th birthday with friends and family at an open house Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Kiwanis building in Battle Ground.

Mrs. Clawson was born in International Falls, Minn., and eventually moved to Woodland, where she met and married her husband of 60 years, Scott Clawson. They moved to Vancouver in 1941.

Her husband died in 2000.

The couple had two children, a son Walter Clawson of Lyle and a daughter Virginia Fry of Battle Ground.

After Mrs. Clawson retired from Meier & Frank, the Clawsons moved to Ridgefield where they managed their blueberry farm. They enjoyed traveling and were active members of the Vancouver Masonic Temple.

Mrs. Clawson currently lives at Mallard Landing Assisted Living in Battle Ground.
