MOLALLA, Ore. — Two people were rescued early Sunday after their car went over a 30-foot cliff and into the Molalla River.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call just after midnight.

Crews from the Molalla Fire Department and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s office found two men on top of an upside-down vehicle that was almost completely submerged in the river.

One of the men was the driver and the other was a person who was not involved in the crash but went into the river to pull him out of the car.

A female passenger was able to get out of the vehicle and swim to shore.

The condition of the victims and their names has not been released.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
