Pedestrian dies after accident in West Seattle

SEATTLE — A 69-year-old man struck by a car on Sunday night in West Seattle has died of his injuries.

KIRO-TV reports the pedestrian was conscious and alert when medics arrived and transported him to Harborview Medical Center just after 9 p.m.

The southwest Seattle accident is still under investigation.

Seattle Police say they found no evidence that the driver was impaired by drugs or alcohol.
