Girls basketball: Skyview 63, Union 53

The Storm took over first place in the 4A Greater St. Helens League, handing visiting Union its first league defeat.

Aubrey Ward-El scored eight of her game-high 21 points and Gen Lo had nine of her 16 for Skyview (8-6, 4-0) in a big fourth quarter rush.

It was a tight game until in the final minutes when Skyview pulled away.

Union (10-4, 3-1) led 17-10 after the first quarter, Skyview was ahead by three at the half, and Union edged ahead 41-40 after three.

Emily Rowe had 17 points and Jessica Chatman 14 for Union.
