Beginning fall semester, Washington State University Vancouver will follow a standard course schedule with 50-minute classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 75-minute classes on Tuesday and Thursday.
The university announced that schedule variations will be allowed to accommodate longer classes and labs. Currently, classes are Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday with few on Friday.
Benefits of moving to a standard course schedule are fewer scheduling conflicts, easier path to graduation and better use of the university’s facilities by spreading classes more evenly to alleviate peak-time pressure on buildings, staff, students and parking, the university said.
