MANSON (AP) — Fire officials say a wildfire burning on nearly 3 square miles of mainly grassland on Lake Chelan’s north shore in north-central Washington is about 10 percent contained.

A Level 1 evacuation notice has been issued for residents of two neighborhoods in Manson, Wash., plus the Antilon Lake Campground. That means people who are sensitive to smoke or have special needs should begin to make arrangements to evacuate.

The Forest Service says the 25 Mile Fire started Thursday on private property across Lake Chelan from 25-Mile State Park. The fire is burning on both private land and Forest Service land.

Officials said more wind and warm temperatures could feed the fire on Saturday.

The cause is under investigation.
