INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Need You Now won the $73,850 Le Cle Stakes for 3-year-old fillies by 234 lengths at Betfair Hollywood Park on Sunday.
Ridden by Julien Leparoux, Need You Now ran 1 mile on the turf in 1:34.76 and paid $4.80, $3.20 and $2.60 as the 7-5 favorite.
Redressthebalance returned $16.60 and $6.40 as the longest shot in the field at 23-1. Judy In Disguise was another length back in third and paid $2.80 to show.
Need You Now has three wins in seven career starts and earnings of $75,844. The Ireland-bred filly ran without blinkers for the first time in the U.S. She is co-owned by trainer Mike Mitchell.
