Ellsworth Springs — During two days in June, more than 15 families learned about growing vegetables in containers by planting a “salad garden” to take home. The workshops, held June 20 at the Vancouver Family Center and June 27 at the Ellsworth Child Care Center, served as the kickoff for the Clark County Food Bank-led “Growing Healthy Futures” program. The program is meant to address food insecurity by educating families about gardening, menu planning and shopping.
