A man was arrested Monday morning after reportedly firing shots at his Pleasant Highlands property.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies responded at 3:24 a.m. to multiple 911 calls of a disturbance involving people yelling and shots fired at 5804 N.E. 124th St.

The property owner, Jeffrey C. Barton, 52, told deputies that he had fired the shots and chased someone off the property that he believed was prowling his vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

No one was injured and deputies did not locate any suspect.

Clark County Sgt. Fred Neiman said that details including the type of weapon fired are not being released, citing the ongoing investigation.

Barton was arrested on suspicion of illegally aiming and discharging a firearm.
