Cap the Moment wins Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Cap the Moment won the $59,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct by 114 lengths Friday, squeezing through an opening on the rail to beat 7-5 favorite Most Happy Fella.

Apprentice jockey Pierre Tomas guided the 6-year-old gelding to his third win in 27 starts for trainer David Smith. The time was 1:38.31 for the mile on a fast track in the race for New York breds.

Cap the Moment paid $10, $3.60 and $2.60. Most Happy Fella returned $2.70 and $2.10, and Warrior Up showed at $4.
