HELENA, Mont. (AP) — St. Louis Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson was arrested on a misdemeanor driving under the influence charge in Missoula, where he played college football for the University of Montana.
Missoula County jail records indicate Johnson was booked into jail at 3:05 a.m. Friday and released about an hour later after posting a $700 bond. He was scheduled to make an initial appearance in Municipal Court sometime Friday.
The Associated Press left messages seeking comment with an attorney who represented Johnson in a previous Montana case and a spokesman for the Rams, but the messages were not immediately returned.
The 23-year-old Johnson, a native of Stockton, Calif., was picked by the Rams in the third round of the 2012 draft. He recorded 31 tackles and two interceptions as a rookie.
