SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have signed general manager Brian Sabean and manager Bruce Bochy to three-year contracts that will keep them with the club through the 2016 season.

The Giants made the announcement before the opener of the Bay Bridge Series against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday night.

Keeping the brass behind two of the last three World Series title teams was a top priority for President and CEO Larry Baer this offseason. Baer says “the Giants are very fortunate to have Brian and Bruce at the helm of our baseball operations and I look forward to more successful seasons in the coming years.”

Sabean is entering his 17th season with the Giants. Bochy is in his seventh season in San Francisco.
