Letter: Senators show support for schools

The Columbian
Published: March 28, 2013, 5:00pm

On March 16, my husband and I went to the town hall meeting hosted by Republican state Senator Don Benton and Republican state Representative Paul Harris of the 17th Legislative District, of which Battle Ground is a part.

We were pleased to hear both Sen. Benton and Rep. Harris firmly state that they support the Battle Ground Public Schools levy.

Sen. Benton said he has spoken to every school board member and has researched the issue, and is convinced the passage of this levy is vital. We wish to thank him and Rep. Harris for their due diligence in discovering the facts behind the necessity of this levy.

We hope all will vote “yes” for the Battle Ground schools and our community.
