April homebuilding permits issued in unincorporated Clark County were up by 75 percent compared to April 2012, according to a Monday report.

The county’s Department of Community Development issued 77 permits to build single-family houses last month, up from 44 permits in April 2012 and up from 25 permits in April 2011. April’s total was down slightly — about 13.5 percent — from March, when builders took out 89 permits for single-family houses.

April’s housing permits totaled approximately $25 million in value, a 76 percent increase from $14.2 million worth of permits issued in April 2012, the department said.
