Truman PTA mom elected to state association

Truman — Truman Elementary PTA member Teri Davis has been elected as the Region 3 director for the Washington State Parent Teacher Association.

Her two-year term begins June 1.

The state association is the largest child advocacy group in Washington with more than 137,000 members. As a region director she will coordinate officers’ leadership workshops and provide leadership, training and support to the council and local units in the region. She will also serve on the PTA state board of directors.

Region 3 includes Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties and Lyle, Trout Lake and White Salmon school districts in Klickitat County.

Davis has been a PTA member since 2007 and with Truman Elementary PTA since 2008.
