OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — After a harrowing night of severe storms, the Women’s College World Series has resumed on a bright, clear, cloudless morning.
Areas near ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in northeast Oklahoma City received more than seven inches of rain Friday night and early Saturday. But the playing surface and the stadium appeared to be in good shape as Tennessee prepared to face Washington on Saturday. The game had been scheduled for Friday night.
Members of the stadium’s grounds crew spent the final minutes before the first pitch using vacuums on wet spots in the outfield, particularly by the warning track.
