Letter: Naysayers dominate

The Columbian
Published: November 2, 2013, 5:00pm

Having attended the scoping meeting for the Tesoro-Savage energy distribution terminal application, I wished John Laird had not retired quite yet as I would have loved to read an editorial commenting about all the “Hounds of Whinerville” who came as NIMBYs without open minds. With the exception of about four people with cogent and compelling points everyone there just came to say “no,” “no” and more “no.” Perhaps Laird will write a letter to the editor; it would be refreshing to see if he saw the same closed-mindedness about a different subject.
