EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Two days after being acquired in a trade with Carolina, middle linebacker Jon Beason is active for the New York Giants’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Mark Herzlich gets the start at middle linebacker with Beason listed as his backup.

Giants starting cornerbacker Corey Webster misses his third straight game with groin injury. He had been listed as doubtful. Trumaine McBride starts at left cornerback.

Veteran David Diehl starts at right guard for New York, which put four-time Pro Bowler Chris Snee on injured reserve Friday with a hip injury.

Philadelphia safety Patrick Chung misses his second straight game with a shoulder injury. Earl Wolff replaces him again.
