CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Ryan Howard threw for 403 yards and four touchdowns, including three for more than 40 yards, to lead Central Arkansas over Stephen F. Austin 66-31 Saturday night.

Central Arkansas (5-3, 2-1 Southland Conference) avenges last season’s loss to SFA (3-5, 1-2). The Lumberjacks were the only conference team to beat UCA during its co-championship run last season.

Howard’s longest TD connection was a 64-yard pass to Jose Moore. He followed with a 41-yard TD strike to Damien Watts during the Bears next offensive series to give UCA a 48-24 lead.

Howard, making his second career start in as many weeks, has seven touchdown passes and 684 yards passing between the two games.

SFA was led by Brady Attaway, who threw two touchdown passes. Attaway was 41 of 63 for 442 yards passing despite the fact the Bear defense had averaged 218 yards passing a game.
