Savannah, Ga. (AP) — Adrian Wilkins returned a punt 73 yards for a touchdown to spur North Carolina Central on to a 24-10 win over Savannah State Saturday.

Wilkins, who amassed 241 total yards, pulled in a 19-yard pass from Malcolm Bell midway through the third quarter to extend the Eagles lead to 21-10. He had 105 yards receiving on seven catches, 82 punt return yards and 54 kick return yards for the Eagles (4-4, 2-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

Savannah State (1-8, 0-5 MEAC) took the lead on a John Barron 22-yard field goal early in the opening quarter. Bell then scored on a six-yard run to give the Eagles the lead 7-3.

Savannah State took a 10-7 lead when Antonio Bostick hit Edward Lackey on a three-yard scoring strike. That held up until Wilkins’ touchdown punt return with 1:32 remaining in the first half.
