FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Stars are back on the ice with new coach Lindy Ruff and quite a few new players.
The Stars opened a three-day training camp in Fort Worth, 30 miles from their home ice in downtown Dallas, and they didn’t waste any time getting down to business.
Dallas has its first preseason game Sunday night at home and is just three weeks from the season opener Oct. 3 against Florida, also in Dallas.
New center Shawn Horcoff, who spent his first 12 seasons in Edmonton, says the Stars are going to need all of camp to incorporate new coaches, new lines and new roles.
Coach Lindy Ruff says it was a “good first day.”
