Searchers were trying to find a lost hiker Sunday in the Goose Lake area of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, a Skamania County official said.

As of 8 p.m., the hiker, said to be a man in his 30s, had not been found.

No other information was available.

In another incident, crews responded about 2:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of three people whose boat overturned in the Washougal River near the Salmon Falls Bridge.

The three, described as a woman and two men, were able to reach the bank before help arrived.

Agencies responding include the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office, Fire District 4 and the Clark County Technical Rescue Team.

The names of the three boaters were not released.
