One dead, one injured in two county motorcycle crashes

Collision reportedly involved motorcycle, two other vehicles

One person died and another was injured in separate motorcycle crashes Monday afternoon in Clark County.

A three-vehicle crash killed a motorcyclist near the intersection of Northeast Padden Parkway and 94th Avenue in the Sunnyside neighborhood, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash, reported just before 4 p.m., involved a motorcycle, a car and a pickup. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived.

Padden Parkway was temporarily closed between 94th Avenue and state Highway 503, according to Clark County Sheriff’s Sgt. Duncan Hoss. The name of the motorcyclist was not released Monday.

A collision involving a motorcycle and a van was reported at 5:25 p.m. in the 17800 block of Northeast Gabriel Road near Yacolt. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital by Life Flight helicopter, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Parts of Gabriel Road were closed to through traffic while deputies investigated.
